A custody transfer or high-end process metering system with multiple lines can involve multiple electronic cabinets, including key components like flow and supervisory computers, PLCs, power supplies and UPS systems, plus safety barrier boxes and industrial printers. For sites where these units cannot be installed in an existing safe area building, KROHNE offers a wide range of dedicated metering houses and shelters.
These metering houses are usually equipped with an HVAC system to eliminate the effects of ambient temperature changes. A desk with an operator supervisory work station can be included where required. Depending on the amount of equipment that needs to be integrated, the overall dimensions can vary from relatively small shelters up to full size 40 foot container sized houses. Metering houses and shelters are fully assembled, wired, configured and tested in-house, which minimises the on-site installation time and risk. In projects where the metering house is supplied complete with a metering system, a full integration test will be performed, to make sure any interconnection and integration issues can be tackled in-house rather than on-site.
