Sampling systems and their associated analyser systems require regular maintenance and checks to ensure performance is being maintained, and this means that periodic validation and calibration checking by a third party is essential, carried out in accordance with International standards.
The validation provided by the experienced KROHNE engineers is based on a review of the diagnostics parameters, process calculation and instrument calibration, followed by on site testing. These tests, which will normally include a water injection test (WIT), need to be properly arranged and scheduled in coordination with the client’s operational personnel. This obviously needs to include a separate laboratory analysis of the samples as a cross check. Any re-calibration needed for the analysers or the grab sampler can then be carried out on-site.
