Process instrumentation models for students

From left to right: Prof. Dr.-Ing. K.-D. Morgeneier (Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule Jena) and Dipl.-Ing. Ralf Haut (KROHNE) with the cutaway models.

In July 2021, Dipl.-Ing. Ralf Haut, Industry Manager Chemistry, presented a number of specially built measuring instruments on behalf of KROHNE Messtechnik GmbH as a donation to Prof. Dr.-Ing. K.-D. Morgeneier for the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (ET/IT) at the Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences in Jena.

The measuring devices were manufactured by KROHNE as demonstration material for use at the university: they are cutaway models that allow students to look inside the devices. The models enable them to better understand and compare the different physical measuring principles on which the devices are based. The cutaway models will become part of an exhibition of other industrial measurement techniques at the ET/IT department.
